IRISBAND was formed by Fizan together with Ali, Andy and Peon (former member) sometimes in May 2006 purposefully to enter a battle of the bands competition in Kuching in that same year. Fortunately with our talents and skills, we have won the battle of the bands and from there our music journey continued. Currently, Irisband consist of 3 members: Fizan (vocals/songwriter), Andy (guitar & keyboard) and Ali (bass). Few months after that Andy moved to Kuala Lumpur to pursue his career as a professional guitarist, due to the distance among its members, IRISBAND development moves at a very slow pace but our determinations is far superior than all the obstacles we were facing. Finally, in October 2008 we manage to produce our 1st single titled "KAMU AKU SATU". Different location among Irisband members never torn our enthusiasm to record more songs. Therefore, via the net the recording process continue where guitar, keyboard and other instruments recorded by Andy in Kuala Lumpur except for bass and vocals recorded by Ali and Fizan in Kuching. All songs and lyrics written by Fizan except lyrics for KAMU AKU SATU and I'LUNA was written by Liza. Re-arrangement of songs was done by Fizan and Andy while editing, mixing and pre-mastering processes done by Andy at his home studio in Kuala Lumpur.. Currently, we are in the process of recording 2-3 songs. We plan to release our debut Mini Album (EP) latest by April 2010.
